Maintaining Sanity Is Not as Easy as it Sounds!

The additions to the ‘list’ of MUST DO items seems to be accelerating at a rate 2.78x faster than the completions!  Right now it’s a complete balance of mental exercise and physical work, which is probably a great combination, or else I’d not sleep at night!

Backwards planning:  Looks like launch date is first week in October…..(the sooner you get there, the sooner you finish, eh?)  Packers and movers, around Sept. 18-26.  House goes live on the market, 5 DAYS from now……..no pressure, take all the time you need…..

And in between all of that, there are five billion (with a ‘B’) things to do (all of them RIGHT NOW!) ….. like normal things you do for moving.  Except you don’t know where you are landing.  And you can only take a portion of your ‘stuff.’  And you don’t know what to take because you don’t know the size of your next abode (SMALL).

And you must wade through a mountain of relocation paperwork, plan to store half of your household (which half?  the left half? the bottom half?), sell cars, get Visas, talk to Ernst & Young re foreign tax implications and complexities (getting paid in both Euros AND dollars),  hotel arrangements here AND there, flight arrangements, apartment search, and a myriad of questions — internet? cell phones? transformers for 110v appliances?  I’m not going without a hairdryer.  🙂

I just want to walk off and go shopping, actually.  Fiddle-dee-dee, Rhett.

More soon.  This is my to-do list creeping up on me right now……

(You can hear my scream here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YdANHr1oaZc) A little weird, I know, but it’s that kind of a day.  🙂

Philippians 2:14-16 New International  14 Do everything without grumbling or arguing, 15 so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.”[a] Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky 16 as you hold firmly to the word of life.

  1. Mindy, never has someone else’s angst and kerfuffle been so much fun to read. Thanks for doing this, so that we can all be part of the adventure! You guys are wise to seize the day and make hay while ye may. Hugs!!
