This is me after tonight…..photographer coming tomorrow am to take house pictures for online realty marketing. Our home of 23+ years is for sale Wednesday…..this moving business is HARD. Herculean. I already posted the sale announcement on newsletters, FB, and neighborhood outlets to start a fire. We’ll see what happens. New roof – check. Mulch – check. House spotless and tidy……ummmm…….yeah, about that…..
Eclipse was super cool, Brendan and Co. came up from Atlanta, a fun afternoon of supernatural events! Helped take my mind off my deer-in-the-headlight paralysis. You know, my outlook is already changing…
the college football season is on us (BOOMER SOONER), school begins year 2017-18 tomorrow, RECON 2017 is 6 weeks away*, Dance Ventures will be learning fall dance choreography for the yearly video soon, and I already feel a little ‘left out’ because I won’t be there. Bittersweet. My brain is myopic, focused on HOUSE SELLING right now, with a lot of “I wonder what XYZ will be like in France…..” We’re on a fast-moving escalator going straight through the roof, no way off now!
News flash of the day – You can buy oysters in France from vending machines. Really. I think I’ll pass!
A big picture view for the day – France is incredibly beautiful, cosmopolitan, ‘romantic,’ and je-ne-sais-quoi wine & cheesy — but it’s also a small socialist country with incredibly high taxes and a lack of incentive to work smarter. (Doubtless you’ll hear more about the taxes when we start paying them! Our French auto insurance policy will have a 35% tax added to it…..) Attention, people! THERE’S NO SUCH THING AS FREE STUFF. SOMEONE must PAY. American business and manufacturing is much more sophisticated and advanced. There’s a reason Silicon Valley et al is in the USA, folks. Be proud of American ingenuity and brainpower.
Thought of the day – Ever notice that nothing increases our prayer life as much as big trouble? Just sayin’…….
1 Thessalonians 5 11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
~ à bientôt, mes amis!
*Jordana, I feel like I’m abandoning you for RECON! 🙁 I’m sorry!
